Vinification and ageing
After crushing and de-stalking, the must undergoes traditional vinification in contact with the skins in vertical fermentation tanks. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is matured for 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
A bright and vivid ruby-red.
Vinous, with fruity scents of strawberries and ripe currants.
Attractively soft, rounded, full and persistent.
Serve at around 16°C. (61°F.) - a little cooler than usual for a red wine.
Excellent with cold cuts, roasts, grilled or spitroast meats, polenta with sauces, and moderately aged or slightly piquant cheeses.
